Thank you very much for choosing Nikko Style Nagoya.
On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Hanaguruma Shinmeisha Shrine, located just behind our hotel, will hold its traditional autumn festival, the Hanaguruma Shinmeisha Annual Festival.
Due to the Karakuri Dashi (mechanical floats) procession and dedication ceremony taking place between around 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., temporary traffic restrictions will be enforced on the surrounding roads.
We kindly ask guests arriving by car to please note the following:
-We recommend completing parking—either at the hotel or nearby coin parking—by around 5:00 p.m.
-Between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., road access around the hotel may be limited.
-Depending on the location, some coin parking lots may be temporarily inaccessible until the restrictions are lifted.
-For guests using the hotel parking or nearby coin parking, certain one-way streets will be opened to both directions between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (with prior notice submitted to the police).
Please follow the directions of local security staff on the day of the event. For details, please check the PDF link “Details on Traffic Restrictions Around the Hotel” on this page.
This historic festival has been cherished by the local community for over 200 years.
From around 7:00 p.m., three beautifully illuminated floats — Nifukujin-sha, Momijigari-sha, and Karako-sha — will pass right behind the hotel on their way to the shrine for dedication.
At the shrine, each float will perform its unique karakuri (mechanical puppet) display, creating an enchanting and festive atmosphere.
In addition, on the following morning, Sunday, October 12, around 10:00 a.m., the Nifukujin-sha float (the closest float to the hotel) will make its way through the Endoji Shopping Street.
If your schedule allows, we highly recommend taking a moment to enjoy this traditional spectacle.
