After meeting at the starting point, the tour begins at a Shinto shrine with over 300 years of history, marking the entrance to the Shikemichi area.
Learn about the shrine and the town’s past, and discover how to pray at a shrine in the traditional Japanese way.
Shikemichi is a historic merchant district dating back to the 18th century (the Edo period, over 300 years ago).
Your guide will share stories about the origins of the street, its unique architecture, and hidden details you might otherwise miss.

Mirume Shin-ryoku Sabou is located at the corner of Shikemichi and Endoji Street.
Here, you’ll learn how to brew Japanese tea for the best flavor, paired with a handcrafted wagashi (traditional Japanese sweet).
Endoji Street is one of the oldest shopping arcades in Nagoya.
As you stroll through the arcade, you’ll find local cafés, snack shops (perfect for enjoying on the go), unique stores, and charming monuments that capture the spirit of the neighborhood.
