This is a column where people who are both self-confessed “travel lovers” and “experienced travelers” introduce their “top picks” that they discovered when they stayed at NIKKO STYLE NAGOYA.
<”LOUVREDO’s FUKUGEN Dryer PRO” a new type of hair dryer that prevents hair damage due to heat>
If you were to ask somebody what he/she always checks when first stepping into a room after checking in to a hotel, many people would probably answer “hairdryer.”
A hairdryer is an important item that greatly influences your hairstyle and, by extension, your mood during your trip. Some people are not satisfied with the hairdryers available at hotels and end up bringing their own from home.
What kind of hairdryer a hotel uses is a barometer of the hotel’s attention to detail and care for its guests.
The hairdryer installed at Nikko Style Nagoya is LOUVREDO’s “FUKUGEN (which means Restorative) Dryer PRO.”
It employs a new concept of “vibration vaporization drying method,” which uses vibration to break up the moisture on the surface of wet hair and then blows it away with the wind. The design avoids relying on the power of high heat or strong winds to prevent hair damage.
Also, because there is no need to shake the hair while drying it to release the heat, as is the case with ordinary hairdryers, it prevents the hair from becoming dry and shaggy, making it easier to set the hair every morning.
I first learned about the hair restoration dryer when I stayed at Nikko Style Nagoya, and while wondering what kind of dryer it was, I actually used it and was so impressed with how well my hair held together that I bought one for my own home.
I was captivated by the fact that my hair did not get hot even when I kept applying it to one spot, and it dried in no time at all.
Nikko Style Nagoya is a lifestyle hotel where you can encounter not only well-known and popular brands, but also hidden gems.
The LOUVREDO FUKUGEN Dryer PRO and the 12/JU-NI shampoo that caters to the concerns of people with frizzy hair are two masterpieces that overturned the assumption that hair sets don’t work when traveling… Please stay and give them a try!

This hair dryer is said to be used by a famous Japanese actor.
Normal hair dryers tend to be used by shaking them, but in the case of the hair restoration dryer, you can maximize the effect by “holding it close”, “not shaking it”, and “applying it slowly”.
As Ms. mugi mentioned in her introduction, in addition to drying hair in a manageable way, it also has anti-aging effects on the skin where the wind reaches and on the face, and if used on the whole body, it can improve swelling and lift up the face!
We have these devices available in ALL guest rooms at Nikko Style Nagoya, so please try them out when you stay at the hotel and make the most of your “self-caring time”.
*We also have a limited number of “FUKUGEN stylers” (curling dryers) available for free rental.
While working as a photographer, taking advertising photos for various hotels, luxury villas, and cosmetics brands in Japan, she also works as a writer and editor, reporting and writing on domestic and international travel and cruise trips, mainly in the fields of retreats, wellness and beauty, for multiple media outlets.
She is also active on her own blog and social networking sites, collaborating with overseas tourist bureaus and hotels to promote high-quality, relaxing travel and wellness experiences for mature women.
