1.Background of the incidence
Late evening on June 23rd, 2023, our staff confirmed that the messages with URL links leading to phishing sites had been distributed to some of our guests who made reservations through Booking.com via the chat function of the system managed by Booking.com and our hotel.
In response to this, Booking.com sent a message on June 26th, 17:08 (CET) to the guests to whom the message had been sent, instructing them not to access the URL link.
On the same day, Booking.com stopped accepting new accommodation reservations, and Nikko Style Nagoya and Booking.com are currently investigating the cause of the unauthorized access.
2. Requests to Guests
If you receive a suspicious message, please do not access the URL link attached to the message.
