Fifth-generation owner of “Kuya,” long-established wagashi store founded in 1882,
He also launched his first brand; “Sorairo” and has been working as a lecturer at Le Cordon Bull Tokyo School, spreading Japanese sweets widely.
〈About “Kuya”〉
Located in the west of Ginza, famous artists such as Soseki Natsume was known to be a regular of this store with over a century of history.
The signature and bestseller item is the Kuya monaka, made of organic, home-made black sweet beans stuffed in a crunchy fragrant charred shell with the shape of a gourd.
