This is a column where people who are both self-confessed “travel lovers” and “experienced travelers” introduce their “top picks” that they discovered when they stayed at NIKKO STYLE NAGOYA.
<Nagoya-inspired Room Sign>
A small ceramic plate catches your eye next to the door of the guest room.
Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a room sign.
The matte texture of the ceramic and the abstract design.
Upon closer inspection… the silhouette of Nagoya gently emerges.
Nagoya Castle, chicken wings, and the scales of a shachihoko…?
Its abstract nature makes it something that sparks imagination every time you look at it.
“What does this pattern represent?”
Before I knew it, I found myself glancing at the plates in neighboring rooms, enjoying a little “Nagoya motif hunt.”
To capture Nagoya in such a form is such a clever and playful touch.
When I asked the staff, they told me that all the room signs are made using traditional Aichi craftsmanship called “Seto ware.”
Looking, imagining, and letting your mind wander…
Such moments add a gentle richness to your hotel stay.
Nagoya’s culture and craftsmanship are subtly yet distinctly felt.
That subtle yet meaningful discovery is the charm of the Nikko Style Nagoya.
It’s not just a place to sleep, but a place to encounter new sensibilities, excitement, and the charm of the land.
This room sign quietly serves as the entrance to that world.

The room sign is also your address during your stay.
Six types of Nagoya specialties have been incorporated into a modern design. Please check them out in front of your room during your stay.

*By the way, the flower-shaped ceramic objects on the walls of the elevator halls on the guest floors (2nd to 9th floors) are shaped like lilies (the flower of Nagoya City), and the number of tiles indicates the floor.
